Just right before the new year’s first working/school day starts, my laptop went dead! At first it made me really anxious and frustrated, but while I’m getting help and figuring out what to do, it became less frustrating. Due to hard drive crash I need to replace the hard drive, and before that I need to grab as many files as I can. However it turned out the disk damaged pretty much so I cannot save everything. It is a huge reminder for me on the importance of BACKing-UP…. I was too busy to take the time to do it although I do have the sufficient resource of an external hard drive. Now it is a lesson to learn. While going through the hard drive and checking out the good files, I feel like it is a great clean up too. I kept too much junk… And I also realized I’m no longer listening to those music I stuffed in the computer, but becoming a regular for streaming music. Ownership no longer matter, but expanse of experiences. I felt like I’m moving from one home to another, because only at the time of moving that I would be getting rid of things that really doesn’t matter. What really matters would stay in memories instead of needing a picture or a piece of music to remind. And for those things that I won’t remember without anything to remind me of? It only proves that they don’t matter that much…
